Dinna L. Simmons died April 8, 2015, at her residence on Eagle Lake. She was 64.
She was a lifelong resident of the Eagle Lake community where she was a partner in the Simmons Planting Co. and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
She was a very active member of the Eagle Lake Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mary Lou Glidewell Nevels; her husband, Crosby Simmons, Jr.; sisters, Gracie Dill and Marie Erwin and brothers, Billy Nevels and Perry Nevels.
Survivors include her daughter, Angie Hart of Eagle Lake; her son, Roy Simmons and wife Jaime of Eagle Lake; sisters, Joan Parker and Ruthie Nevels of Eagle Lake, Annie Allison of Florence, Virginia Carr of Vicksburg and Susie Mariche of Oak Grove, La.; brothers, Richard Nevels and Danny Paul Sanderford of Vicksburg; her granddaughter, Crosby Ellen Hart of Yazoo City and her lifelong friend, Everlena Branch of Eagle Lake.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 11, 2015, at noon in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating assisted by Irma Newell Hart.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Bill Parker, Darence Johnson, Tommy Alderman, Charles Watson, B.J. shows and Danny Mariche.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ira Duke, Everlena Branch and John Knight.
