You can’t blame iconic comedian Ron White if he’s not quite sure what city he’s in each night. With three to four shows each week throughout the year, the number of cities White visits almost amounts to the number of projects, companies and items on his to do list.

“Right now, I’m ironing shirts, building a house, running a tequila company and still doing all of these shows,” White said in an interview with The Post last week. “I have so much going on these days, but I love it.”

White, who has been on the stand-up circuit for quite some time, is probably best known for being part of the tremendously successful Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which scores of fans and sold millions of videos.

This week, White will bring that world famous humor to the Vicksburg Convention Center, when he takes to the stage at 8 p.m. Friday, April 24.

But, don’t ask White about the business side of his growing comedic empire.

“I am at the point in my career where I have people who manage my business,” White said. “I don’t micromanage my career. I believe that if I were to spend time dealing with the parts of the business that aren’t so funny, then I wouldn’t be as funny.”

In addition to his comedy tour, White, along with his brother-in-law, Alex Reymundo, own Number Juan Tequila, a venture White said produces “the very best tequila on the market.”

While a growing part of his portfolio, making people laugh is where White is at the top of his game, beginning with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour that some would say changed American humor.

White, along with comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy brought about a new style of comedy to America, bringing along with it unforgettable catchphrases.

There is Foxworthy’s “you might be a redneck,” and Engvall’s “here’s your sign.” And, you can’t leave out Larry’s “get ‘er done.”

For White, if his “you can’t fix stupid” line doesn’t ring a bell, it is surely his style, demeanor and accessories on stage.

Often dressed in black, with cigar in one hand and drink in the other, White said his style comes out of necessity.

“For many comedians, smoking was something for effect or a planned pause,” White said. “Carlin did, others have done; that’s why I do it.”

But, the type of drink and smokes has improved over the years.

“When I started, I was drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette,” White said, adding that today the smoke of choice is a cigar and the high-quality tequila his company produces. “As my career has gotten better, so has the drink. I’d say it’s going pretty good.”
