Clear Creek Ladies golf report

On April 22, Clear Creek Ladies Golf Association members met for match play. Linda McHann placed first, followed by Joyce Johnson in second place and Carol Roberson in third. Martha Masterson made the lowest number of putts. Johnson, Masterson, McHann and Charlotte Crist made chip-ins.

Warren Central soccer tryouts

Tryouts for Warren Central’s varsity boys soccer team will be held May 11 and 12, on the practice field adjacent to Mississippi 27. All participants must wear shin guards, have a current physical and a completed parental consent form.

Play 2 Wynn basketball camp

Former Vicksburg High star Donna Brown-Wynn will host her 13th annual annual Play 2 Wynn basketball camp June 1-5 at Vicksburg High School. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day, and is for boys and girls ages 6-17. The cost is $75 per person. Players of all skill levels are welcome.

Brown is a former VHS and Mississippi State star who went on to coach at Mississippi State, Belmont University and Tennessee State.

Warren Central volleyball tryouts

Tryouts for the 2015 Warren Central girls varsity volleyball team are scheduled for Thursday and Friday. The tryouts will be held in Gym A at 4 p.m. each day, and are for players who will be entering grades 7-12 in the fall.

All players must have had a physical prior to the tryouts. Free physicals will be conducted Saturday at 8 a.m. at Warren Central High School.

Hinds CC football camps

The Hinds Community College football program will host a 7-on-7 camp, as well as a camp for offensive and defensive linemen on the Raymond campus in June.

The linemen camp runs from June 22-24. Registration begins at noon on June 22. The cost of the camp is $150 for those registered by June 1, or $175 after that date.

The 7-on-7 camp is a one-day session on June 25, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The cost of the camp is $200 for a team of 20 players, plus $25 for each additional player.

All players must have a current physical form and a signed waiver.
