Josephine Serio Montalbano

Josephine Serio Montalbano of Vicksburg died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at her home. She was 92.
Mrs. Montalbano was the daughter of the late Vincent and Gertrude C. Serio.
Josephine was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service. Mrs. Montalbano was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and a devout Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 siblings; and her husband, Pete J. Montalbano Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Pete J. Montalbano Jr. (Cynthia) of Vicksburg and Joe G. Montalbano (Kay) of Madison; three grandsons, Peter Vincent Montalbano of Vicksburg; J. Matthew Gordon (Carla) of Houston, Texas, and Jason Breeden (Dacia) of Florence; one granddaughter, Melissa Burton of Pensacola, Fla.; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Resurrection is 2 p.m. today, May 12, 2015, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Thomas Lalor officiating.
Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service at the church.
Burial will be on Wednesday, May 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Oddfellows Cemetery in Greenwood with Father Greg Plata officiating.
Pallbearers will be Pete J. Montalbano Jr., Joe G. Montalbano, Peter Vincent Montalbano, Frank Weaver, Paul Banchetti and Johnny Serio.
