Joyce Marie Chapin of Vicksburg died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 78.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Chapin was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Paralie Harris; husband, Willie J. Chapin; son, Willie C. Chapin; and a grandson, Jesse Chapin.

Survivors include her three sons, Billy W. Chapin, Joe Don Chapin and Randy D. Chapin, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Terry Saldana Christian of Vicksburg and Ramona A. Nelson of Quitman, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Boyce Harris of Bastrop, La.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Chapin, Kelly Chapin, Ben Chapin, Jody Chapin, David Saldana and Dusty Cook.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Ray Chapin and Jason Chapin.
