Harold ‘Lindy’ Youngblood, Jr.

Harold “Lindy” Lindsey Youngblood, Jr., 71, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Clinton.

Born Dec. 20, 1943, Mr. Youngblood grew up in Crystal Springs and graduated from Crystal Springs High School in 1962.  He had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1978.

Mr. Youngblood was a welder for LeTourneau for eight years until he joined the National Guard in 1964.  He was a Chief Warrant Officer until his retirement of 30 years of service.  He was a graduate of Delta State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree.

Mr. Youngblood was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed being outdoors, friends, cooking and riding motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Edith Youngblood and his brother, Don Youngblood.

He is survived by his son, Shane Youngblood (Lesley) of Clinton; three grandchildren, Gracie Youngblood, Ashlyn Davis and Reid Davis; brothers, Phil Youngblood of Tupelo and Jerry Youngblood of Crystal Springs; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23 at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Harmony Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
