Around 3 p.m. on Saturday the Warren County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call on a shooting in a mobile home park on the 600 block of Standard Hill Road.

Sheriff Martin Pace said the first units on the scene found an adult male deceased in the driveway.

Crime scene investigators processed the scene for several hours.

“We are still in the process of interviewing neighbors and other individuals,” Pace said.

The victim’s identity was not released.

“We’re not releasing the name of the victim pending notification of his family,” Pace said.

No one has been taken into custody at this time.

“We’re following some leads that we’ve already established, but we’re continuing to interview people in the area,” Pace said.

The body has been released to the state crime lab.

Pace said he could not speculate whether Saturday’s shooting was related to Friday night’s shooting at Vicksburg Battlefield Inn.

“I will tell you my investigators have been in contact with the Vicksburg Police Department investigators concerning the situation last night,” Pace said.
