George R. Hall Sr.

George R. Hall Sr. died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at his daughter’s home in Milton, Florida. He was 90.

Born and raised in Crosby, he had lived in Vicksburg for his adult life. He retired from R.G. LeTourneau Co., and from the Waterways Experiment Station where he was a machinist, retiring in 1985.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the First Baptist Church of Milton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wylie and Annie Andrews Hall; his son, George R. Hall Jr.; two daughters, Deborah Forrestal and Paulette Hall; wife, Bea Pharr Hall; two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his daughter, Janet Hall Fernandez of Milton, Florida; a sister, Ruby Nell Brown of Meridian; two brothers, William Hall of Heidelburg and James Hall of Pearl and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 at Glenwood Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Massey, Jason Massey, Dan Brown, Wiley Hall, Mark Brown and Chaney Adams.

Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Hall.
