Sue Marie Winston Anderson

MUSKEGON, Mich. — Sue Marie Winston Anderson died Oct. 10, 2015. She was 71.

Mrs. Winston Anderson was born on Dec. 15, 1943, in Cannonsburg, the fifth of 12 children born to James and Marie Winston.

She was a 1962 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School, attended business school in New Orleans, and later moved to Muskegon, Michigan, where she met and married Charles Anderson. They had one son.

She became a member of Beechgrove Missionary Baptist Church in Vicksburg, and later joined Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Muskegon, where she was a member of the Senior Missionary Society until her death.

She was employed by Muskegon Heights Public Schools as a lead lunch aide for over 30 years, and after retirement she devoted her life to her family and the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marie Winston; three brothers, James C. Winston, Leo Winston and Wallace Winston; and a sister, Gladys Winston.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Anderson; son, Tarius Anderson; grandson, Tarius Anderson II of Houston, Texas; three brothers, McArthur Winston of Muskegon and Thomas and Charles Winston, both of Vicksburg; four sisters, Harriet Langs of Atlanta and Benrice Perkins, Dorothy Erves (Donald) and Thelma Winston, all of Vicksburg; two goddaughters; and nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
