A vehicle crashed into a utility pole on the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Thursday night.

Shelia McKinnis at Entergy said they received a call at 10:36 p.m. that power lines were down causing an outage to six customers. For the crew to safely replace the pole, they had to cut power to the line at 2:10 a.m., which left 333 customers out of power for 160 minutes. At 4:57 a.m. crews were able to get the pole replaced and power back to the customers.

“Once the pole was set we reconnected everyone,” McKinnis said.
