Warren County Emergency Management Agency Director John Elfer said the public is being advised to ignore a Thursday afternoon Code Red alert for a severe thunderstorm.

“Obviously we’re not under the threat of any severe weather today,” he said. “There’s a glitch. There is some kind of problem on Code Red’s end.”

Elfer said Code Red is aware of the issue and they’re working to resolve it.

“If you got a weather warning, disregard it today,” he said. “I’ve talked to Code Red, and they’re trying to get it fixed.”
