Two arrested, one wanted in burglary

A woman and a juvenile accused of stealing from a home were held without bail as a male was wanted by police Thursday.
Mariah Deauman and a juvenile were arrested Wednesday and charged with residential burglary, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said. A third suspect, Curtis Ross Jr., 1731 Oak Ridge Road, is wanted on a felony warrant for residential burglary, Williams said.
At 1 p.m. Tuesday on the 3000 block of Porters Chapel Road, a homeowner arrived at his home to find it being burglarized, Williams said. She said the juvenile was chased out of the home by the homeowner.
The juvenile then got in a waiting car driven by Deauman and sped off nearly hitting the homeowner, Williams said. As a result, she said, the homeowner fired three shots at the vehicle.
“Even though the vehicle was fired into they were able to drive away from the scene,” Williams said adding the vehicle was later found disabled on Clay Street.
The juvenile was taken to the Warren County Detention Center, and Deauman appeared in municipal court Thursday, Williams said.
She said several firearms were reported stolen from the home, and the incident is still under investigation.
Handgun missing from vehicle
A handgun was missing Friday following a burglary reported Thursday in Vicksburg.
At 10:45 p.m. Thursday, a 9-millimeter handgun was reported stolen from a 2004 Nissan Maxima on the 800 block of Central Ave., Williams said.
Laptop missing in city
A laptop was missing Thursday following a burglary reported Wednesday in Vicksburg.
At 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, a laptop was reported stolen from an Oldsmobile Alero on the 100 block of Warren Street, Williams said.
Purse taken from vehicle
A purse was missing Friday following a burglary reported Thursday..
At 8:30 a.m. Thursday, a purse with cash and personal effects were reported stolen from a 2005 Chevy at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, 60 Shady Lawn Place, Williams said.
Two released after drug court violation
A Warren County and a Vicksburg man were released back to drug court Thursday.
Wesley White, 20, 155 Deer Ridge Road, and Ethan Frazier, 22, 5210 U.S. 61 South Lot A14, was held in the Warren County Jail Wednesday for a drug court violation, according to Warren County jail records.
A gun and tools missing in city
A handgun and tools were missing Thursday following a burglary reported Tuesday in Vicksburg.
At 4 p.m. Tuesday, a 440 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun and an assortment of mechanic tools were reported stolen from a Dodge Ram truck on the 200 block of Bazinsky Road, Williams said.
