Warren Central softball thrashes Terry, 17-5

For the second day in a row, Warren Central’s softball team broke out the hitting sticks and walked away a winner.

Cocoa Fultz went 3-for-3 with a triple, grand slam, four RBIs and four runs scored as the Lady Vikes scored 12 runs in the fourth inning to beat Terry 17-5 on Friday. In its last two games, Warren Central (9-6) has scored 39 runs.

Fultz’s grand slam was one of a number of big hits in the fourth inning. Sarah Kate Smith hit a two-run single to bring in the first two runs and give WC a 7-2 lead. April Lynn added an RBI single and Madison Wade a two-run single as the lead grew and grew.

Lynn finished 2-for-3 with a triple, RBI and two runs scored. Kaitlyn Mitchell had two hits and scored twice, while Katelyn Morson walked four times and scored twice.
