One held for weapon possession

A Warren County man accused of having a stolen weapon was held without bail Tuesday.

Anthony James Lewis, 24, 514 Oakwood Drive, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a weapon by a felon, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.

Lewis was a passenger in a car at a traffic stop when the 38-caliber handgun was found, Kimble said. The gun had been reported stolen by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, he said. Lewis is being held without bond at Issaquena Correctional Facility and will be arraigned Wednesday, Kimble said.

One held for assault

A Vicksburg man accused of attempting to create serious injury was held without bail Tuesday.

Richard C. Ellis, 57, 804 Reed St., was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated assault, according to Warren County jail records.

 

One held for violation

A Vicksburg man was held without bail Tuesday for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Cerrick Warren, 34, 1330 Bay St., was held in the Warren County jail Tuesday on a warrant from MDOC for probation violation, according to Warren County jail records.

 

Two held for MDOC

A Vicksburg man and a Warren County woman were held without bail Tuesday for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

William Matthew Kelly, 52, 2527 Military Ave. and Ashley Ross, 29, 125 Marguerite Drive, were held without bail Tuesday on a warrant from MDOC for probation violation, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said. Kelly was arrested at 12:01 p.m. Tuesday, and Ross was arrested at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.
