CARLISLE — Donald L. Flowers died Sunday, May 15, 2016, at his home in Carlisle after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family and friends. He was 69.

He was a lifelong resident of the Warren County and Claiborne County areas, where he was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 619 for 45 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and his friends and family loved his sense of humor. Donald was a member of the Midway Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Elsie Flowers; and a sister, Joyce Ross.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Flowers of Carlisle; his son, David Flowers (Becky) of Bogue Chitto; his brother, Ronny (Betty) Flowers of Raymond; his sister, Shirley (Charles) Gilmore of Brandon; his three grandsons, Drake Flowers, Dawson Flowers and Dane Flowers; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Flowers Cemetery in Carlisle with the Rev. Robert Warren, of Epps, La., officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be Pete Guido, Wayne Windham, Michael Shannon, Michael Flowers, Mike Elliott and Rush Flowers.
