Shots fired in multiple properties

Shots were fired late Monday night into an apartment complex and a business in Vicksburg.
Around midnight Monday, at least four apartments at Fredella Village Apartments on China Street and a nearby business were shot into and sustained bullet holes, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said. The incident is under investigation, and Williams said the public’s help is needed.

Tires flattened in city
Multiple cases of malicious mischief were reported Sunday in Vicksburg.
Between 7:30 and 8:45 a.m. Sunday, eight reports of malicious mischief were made on the 200 block of Demby Drive, Williams said. Either one or all the tires on owner’s vehicle were put on flats, Williams said. There is no suspect at this time, Williams said.

Man held for assault
A Vicksburg man accused of domestic violence was held without bail Monday.
Tommy Hull, 49, was arrested at 2 a.m. Sunday on the 1300 block of Walnut Street and charged with domestic violence aggravated assault and third offence domestic violence from an incident reported by the same woman April 9, Williams said.
Hull is accused of punching the woman in the face numerous times resulting in fractures, and she was taken to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Williams said.
Gun missing from vehicle
A gun was missing Monday following a burglary reported Friday in Vicksburg.
At 8:30 a.m. Friday, a 9 millimeter hand gun valued at $300 was reported stolen from a 2011 Volkswagen on the 1100 block of Jackson Lane, Williams said.
Woman arrested on warrant
A woman was held without bail for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
Vickie McCray, 48, was arrested on an MDOC warrant during a traffic stop at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Halls Ferry and Porters Chapel roads, Williams said.
Man held on drug sanction
A Vicksburg man was held without bail Monday for drug court.
Tony Waters, 25, 100 Shady Lane, was held in the Warren County Jail Monday for a 72 hour drug court sanction, according to Warren County jail records.
Two women free for contempt
A Warren County woman and a Byram woman accused of being disobedient and disrespectful in court were released from jail Saturday by Circuit Court Judge Isadore Patrick.
Jamelya Carter, 19, 3920 U.S. Highway 80, and Latasha Clark, 37, 509 Cleveland Cove, Byram, were arrested Friday and charged with contempt of court, according to Warren County jail records.
Fire reported in county
A house fire was reported Monday morning in the county.
At 11 a.m. Monday, a house fire was reported at 170 Lo-Sto Road, according to Warren County sheriff’s records.
Records show the report was on a camper trailer being rented and the homeowner was on scene.
