A Vicksburg man was shot three times Tuesday evening.
Around 7 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report that a male had been shot on the 2800 block of East Main Street, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Jeremy Johnson, 27, was struck three times and transported by a privately owned vehicle to Merit Health River Region Medical Center where he was treated and released, Williams said.
A couple hours later, Antonio Palmer, 28, also of Vicksburg, turned himself in to Vicksburg Police, Williams said. No charges have been filed at this time, and the motive of the shooting is still under investigation, Williams said.
