The investigation continues into a reported shooting that occurred Saturday night in Vicksburg leaving a 15-year-old girl injured.

“Nothing has changed,” Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said. “It is still under investigation.”

Williams said the girl was in a vehicle when shots were fired into the vehicle, which broke the glass and cut her leg.

She was taken to Merit Health River Region Medical Center, where she was treated and released, Williams said.

Williams said one person was being detained. “No one has been charged,” Williams said.The shooting was reported at approximately 9:45 p.m. Saturday in the area of Elizabeth Circle and Alcorn Drive.
