A fallen tree in the county has part of Freetown Road closed to traffic and power out Friday morning.
A dead tree fell on power lines on Freetown Road Friday morning and the pressure from its weight damaged four utility poles and broke two of those poles in half, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
“The road is completely closed east of Grey Line Drive and west of Grey Creek Drive,” Pace said.
Sheriff’s deputies are rerouting traffic in the area.
At 7:45 a.m. Friday, Entergy crews were notified of the outage, representative Shelia McKinnis said. At this time, 216 customers are experiencing an outage.
“A crew has been assigned and hopefully it will be taken care of by 4 p.m.,” McKinnis said.
