The Warren County Board of Supervisors, by a vote of 4-1, approved the plan to merge the economic development efforts in Vicksburg and Warren County under one roof Tuesday morning.

The board also approved the hiring of Juan Pablo Diaz, of Grenada, as the new director of the merged agency, which covers the Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce, Port Commission and economic development for both the city of Vicksburg and Warren County.

The lone nay vote to the plan was District 2 Supervisor William Banks.
