Sterling Ivory Jr. died March 1, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
He was born on Jan. 15, 1970, to Mr. and Mrs. Sterling (Virginia) Ivory Sr. He was baptized at Christian Home No. 2 Church.
He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1989. Sterling continued his education at Hinds Community College, where he studied auto body collision repair technology. He touched many lives with his infectious smile and willingness to help others. He had an overwhelming love of cars and racing.
He is survived by his wife, Grangerette; his daughter, Sterlisha; his son Tyler; and his stepson, Shecoby Robinson Sr.; father, Sterling Ivory Sr.; sisters, Cheryl Patten (Andrew), Ivory Jean Reed, Annie Ivory-Reynolds (Johnny) and Mary Griffin (Eli); four nieces; four nephews; and 14 great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Ivory; his brother, James “Jimmy” Reed; nephew, Michael Reed; four uncles, Robert Reed, George Reed, Joe Nelson, Leonard Cook; two aunts, Rosie Nelson and Katie Neal.
Services will be 11a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Courtney Reed officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
