To the editor:

To our city leaders, Vicksburg Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Vicksburg Fire Department, First Responders, volunteers, our radio stations and The Vicksburg Post: Thank you for everything you did for the people during the water crisis. I want to thank the workers from the city and Hemphill Construction, who worked around the clock to restore service when they could have been home with their families.

The situation could have gone on for a longer period. Yes, people were displaced and some are still voicing their opinions, but I bet they were not out helping the situation.

Be thankful for the promptness of the response and repairs. This problem is being addressed for the future.
