Lt. Col. Robert William Gee

Lt. Col Robert William Gee died June 12, 2017. 

He was born Sept. 21, 1950, in Gulfport. He was the son of Vida and Brooksher Gee. 

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Anne Louise Bullard Gee; and sons, Nathaniel Brooksher Gee of Huntsville, Ala., and Todd William Gee of Washington, D.C. 

He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and colleagues. 

He graduated from Gulfport High School as senior class president, was Eagle Scout Order of the Arrow and was governor of Boy’s State in 1967.  He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Master of Arts from George Washington University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi.

He served with distinction in the United States Army Military Police Corps for 22 years.  His assignments included the  82nd Airborne, Fort Bragg, N. C.; Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Langley Air Force Base, Va.; and Taegu, South Korea.

He served as commander of the 14th Military Police Headquarters Company in Stuttgart, West Germany, and he retired on the field after command of the 701st Military Police Battalion in Fort McClellan, Ala. 

He will be buried with Military Honors at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tim Brown officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Glenwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Todd William Gee, Nathaniel Brooksher Gee, Christopher Michael Fink, John Williams Bullard, Archibald Webb Bullard and U.V. Jones III.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the First Presbyterian Church in Vicksburg or to the Veteran’s Charity, “Heroes for Hire USA.”
