TALLULAH, La. — The city of Tallulah announced before 3 p.m. Wednesday that the boil water notice for all water customers has been lifted.

State officials gave the city the approval to lift the boil water notice after water samples came back clear.

The problems started Monday when a water line near the city’s water plant on Tampa Drive ruptured, causing low pressure or no pressure to more than 3,000 customers.

Crews were able to cap the rupture and return pressure to the system, but the boil water notice remained in effect until state officials approved water samples.
