Jeff Harpole went low Saturday — low enough to take the lead at the Vicksburg Country Club Championship.
Harpole tied for the low round of the day with a 69, allowing him to overcome a two-shot deficit and head into the final round on Sunday with a one-stroke lead over Jake Dornbusch.

Harpole was at 1-over par 141 for the tournament. Dornbusch, the first-round leader, was at 142 after shooting 72 on Saturday.

Nick Mekus also shot a 69 on Saturday and was in third place, at 146. John Halpin Caldwell was another two strokes back at 148.

Matt Bell (151), Wilson Palmertree (153), Eddie Buckner (154) and John Robert Ward (156) rounded out the championship flight.

The tournament will resume Sunday at 9 a.m. at Vicksburg Country Club. The championship flight will tee off at 10:15 a.m.
