David Harold Baggett Sr. died Aug. 24. Born in Vicksburg, he was a lifelong resident.

He was 80. David was the son of the late Thomas Henry Baggett and Josie Kate Warren. He retired from Westinghouse – Cooper Lighting and the Culkin Water District. David was the last charter member of Wilderness Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Kate Raner (Kenny), two sons: David H. Baggett, Jr. (Barbara) and Louis Henry Baggett. David leaves 4 grandchildren, Crystal Johnson, Kimberly Raner Rose, Petty Officer Christopher Raner, Matthew Baggett and a great-grandson, Gunner Johnson.  David is also survived by his companion, Charlene Irwin.

In addition to his parents was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Baggett.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Brother Robert Conrad and Brother Russ Granberry officiating.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society — Central MS Division.
