Bessie Jane Schnetzler Childers, 93, of Vicksburg, passed away at Merit Health River Region Aug. 9, 2017.

She is survived by her son, Gerald Childers of Hernando; one daughter, Barbara Ann Childers of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be Sept. 8, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Glenwood Chapel in Vicksburg.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service with the Rev. Brian Parker officiating and under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
