Ann Haas

Ann Haas, 77, passed away Sept. 10, 2017, at Merit Health River Region.

Ms. Haas was a nurse serving the Vicksburg community from 1960-2010. She was a member of Redbone Methodist Church in Vicksburg.

She was born in New Orleans and grew up in McComb, where she graduated from high school before moving to Vicksburg to attend nursing training from the Sisters of Mercy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Noel Samuel Haas; her parents, James Norborn Jones and Christine Jackson Jones; brother, James Guinn Jones Sr.; and an aunt, Bessie Jackson Taylor.

She is survived by her children: two daughters, Virginia (David) Feder and Christine (Trint) Rogers; two sons, Sam (Melissa) Haas and Karl (Jesse) Haas; one brother, Jackson (Beverly) Jones; eight grandchildren, Patrick (Erin) Ward, Tre Haas, Tyler (Brooke) Haas, Travis Haas, Bailey Rogers, Lydia Rogers, Daxton Haas and Bryson Haas; four great-grandchildren, Landon Ward, Lexi Ward and Maggie Haas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tre Haas, Tyler Haas, Travis Haas, Patrick Ward Montrell Allen, Sean Dixon, Warren Ellis and Seth Libbey. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John R. Barnes.

Special thanks go out to the Vicksburg Convalescent Nursing Home Staff, Merit Health River Region Staff, Dr. Henry Jarmon, Dr. Sultan, Dr. Clark and Dr. Oluwatade.

Service will be Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at Glenwood Chapel in Vicksburg. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. John Evans officiating, and under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
