CRYSTAL SPRINGS — Dan Rogers died Oct. 21, 2017, at his home in Crystal Springs. He was 77.

Dan was the son of Waverly Conrad Rogers and Clennie Wiggins Rogers of Crystal Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Sonny Rogers and Frank Rogers.

He is survived by his son, Park Rogers; daughter, Elizabeth Rogers Whittington (Doug) of Vicksburg; a daughter, Stacie Sutton (Ken) of Pennsylvania., son, Jordan Rogers of Alabama; and former wife and friend, Dell Rogers.

Dan is also survived by his wife, Sharon Rogers; three sisters, Winnie Banks, Erma Sykes and Opal Jackson; two brothers, Talmadge Rogers and Jimmy Rogers.

Dan had two grandchildren, Eve Freeland of Pennsylvania., and Wil Whittington of Vicksburg.

Dan will be remembered as a good athlete, Governor of Boys State, University of Mississippi graduate, a Rotarian and former Alderman of the City of Vicksburg. After returning home to Crystal Springs he was a city leader, member of Lions Club and gave his love and attention to establishing and constructing an oriental garden for the city. His family will gather Oct. 30, 2017, at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Crystal Springs.
