UTICA_ Albert Hayward McGuffee Jr. passed away Nov. 6, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center E.R. in Jackson. He was 84 years old.

Albert (Judy) was a beloved and devoted son, brother, husband and dad. He was a successful businessman and landowner. He loved life, people and Utica.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert H. McGuffee Sr. and Dorothy Allen McGuffee; brothers, Buddy, Joe, Ba Ba and Paul Lee McGuffee.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Hubbard McGuffee; children, Beverly McGuffee Boswell, Robin McGuffee Flowers (Jimmy), Albert Heywood McGuffee and Valerie McGuffee Knight (Kirby); grandchildren, Kristen Boswell Amonette, Adam Boswell, Joseph Flowers, Dillon Easterling and Dustin Easterling; great-grandchildren, Isabella Amonette, Aiden Amonette and Easton Flowers; and a sister, Lois Fish; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Utica Christian Church. Services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brad Hartzog officiating. Burial will follow at Utica Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Flowers, Adam Boswell, Hubbard Partridge, Gary McGuffee, Russell McGuffee Jr., Jimmy Flowers, Justin Thomas and Larry Pelletier.
