Danny Allan Cogan died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at his residence in Vicksburg. He was 55.

A native of Indianola, he lived a number of years in Lake Charles, La., and Cary before moving to Vicksburg. Here in Vicksburg, he served as a captain of the Northeast Volunteer Fire Department and was employed by Lynn Trucking Co. and Collins Trucking Co.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Cogan; and his brother, Carl Melvin Cogan.

Survivors include his daughter, Shelia Fuselier of Lake Charles; his son, Robert Wayne Cogan of Lake Charles; his father and stepmother, H.E. “Bud” and Patsy Cogan of Vicksburg; and his sister, Diane Dotson of Jena, La.

Graveside services will be Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Gene Jacks officiating.

Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg has charge of arrangements.
