On Dec. 1, 2017, Randall “Randy” Dwight Posey was called home to be with his Heavenly Father.
Randy was born Nov. 10, 1959, at Anderson Infirmary in Meridian in Lauderdale County.
He grew up in Natchez, and graduated from Natchez Adams High.
After graduation, Randy attended the University Southern Mississippi where he excelled on the tennis team winning numerous school trophies.
Randy served in many leadership/managerial positions with Standard Brands, Payless Cashway, Kurshman’s Furniture, Target’s Warehouse, Auto Zone Distribution Center, Cooper Lighting, Vicksburg Metal Products and Duro-Last Roofing.
While pursuing his career dreams, he attended adult night classes and earned a bachelor of business administration from Belhaven University in Jackson.
Randy experienced many personal setbacks in his life causing him to be even more determined to succeed, but his professional career ended in 2003 when he sustained a life changing work related injury. Struggling for 14 years with a physical disability and battling with diabetes since college days, Randy always maintained a positive attitude.
On Nov. 1, 2015, Randy experienced another life changing event when he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. His newfound faith in Christ gave him another purpose. His focus and motives changed to do what is right not for he sake of doing what is right, but to bring glory to God.
Shortly thereafter, God answered his prayer in providing him with his fiancee’ Jocelyn (Jing) Castro Tolibat of Quezon City, Philippines. Over a period of two years both corresponded by Internet sharing their faith in Christ and love for one another through daily Bible reading and prayer with the blessed hope of one day meeting face to face. For now… Randy is watching from above over his soul mate Jing, waiting for that glorious day of reunion.
Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Posey.
