T.O. “Bob” Shedd Jr., 87, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at The Vicksburg Convalescent Home.
Tennyson retired from The City of Vicksburg Water Treatment Plant as a certified water works operator and he was the manager of Lanes Hill city pool for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tennyson Odell Shedd Sr. and Mamie Irene Hunter; Clifton and Mary Eliza Dowell who reared him; wife, Rosa Lee Shedd; daughter, Bonnie Shedd Fox; grandson, Herbert W. Shedd Jr.; two sisters, Mamie Irene Hayes and Mary Ann “Love” Hunter; and a brother, John Hunter Jr.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Alfred Sr.) Lassiter and Janet (Ronnie) Clark of Vicksburg; three sons, Tennyson (Valerie) Shedd III of Olympia Fields Ill.; Michael B. Jackson of Baltimore, Md.; and Herbert W. (Barbara) Shedd Sr. of Repressa, Calif.; and a son-in-law Fredrick Fox Sr. of Baltimore, Md.
He is also survived by on brother, Herbert W. (Willie) Shedd of Citrus Heights, Calif.; one sister, Ida Lane of Chicago, Ill.; fifteen grandchildren; thrity two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at the Chapel of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred E. Lassiter Jr. officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 1 to 6 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow immediately at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
