Henry Joseph Bordelon Sr.

Henry Joseph Bordelon Sr. died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017. He was 70.
Mr. Bordelon was born in Jonesville, La., to the late Harding Joseph and Claudia Jones Bordelon.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1974. He was budget program analyst for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, Mississippi River Valley Division, retiring in 2004.
Mr. Bordelon was a former member of the Bovina Volunteer Fire Department, a former Board member of Mutual Credit Union and a former VGSA softball coach. He was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bordelon was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachelle Lynn Bordelon Rollins; a granddaughter, Leslie Adams; and a brother, Robert Bordelon.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Bordelon; a son, Henry J. “Joey” Bordelon Jr. (Mandy) of Jonesville, La.; two daughters, Jana Bordelon and Mandy Bordelon (Kasey), both of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Deanna Adams, Derrick Rollins, Jeffery Rollins, Josh Bordelon, and Tristan Bordelon; and two sisters, Pamela Lea of Enterprise, La., and Evelyn Parker of Harrisonburg, La.
A celebration of life service will be noon on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at Riles Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
