Due to the weather, all Warren County offices are closed for the day, according to Warren County Emergency Management Director John Elfer.

“Effective immediately, all Warren County offices are now closed until further notice,” Elfer said Tuesday morning.

Elfer said snow showers are expected this morning into the afternoon making driving conditions dangerous.

“We encourage everyone to use caution if you must travel, and to slow down,” Elfer said.

Temperatures are expected to continue to drop throughout the day and fall into the mid-teens tonight. Wind chills will be in the single digits, according to Elfer.

“Take precautions in regards to the extremely cold conditions,” Elfer said.

He also encouraged the public to check on vulnerable adults and “don’t forget about outside pets.”

The Warren County Board of Supervisors also postponed their regular 9 a.m. meeting at the courthouse.

“We are not meeting today,” County Administrator John Smith said Tuesday. Smith said the supervisors will reschedule the meeting for a later date .
