Three adults and a juvenile were injured in a shooting on Crawford Street Saturday morning.

Vicksburg Police Department Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said officers responded to a shooting on the 1300 block of Crawford Street at 12:50 a.m. Saturday.

“Officers responding found two people laying in the street,” Edwards said. “The shooting appeared that it was two groups shooting at each other.”

Danny Stevenson, 29, Channing Lane, 26, and Jaharvey Caples, 28, all suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and a 16 year old was grazed by a bullet, Edwards said. Stevenson was transported to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson from the scene and Lane was later taken to UMMC for surgery. Edwards said none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.

“There was a house party at 1317 Crawford Street,” Edwards said. “Apparently there was a disagreement between the two groups and they started shooting.”
