“When we got on scene, they had their fire protection equipment flowing water and trying to isolate the affected area,” he said. “They had a nitrogen filled compressor that had hydrogen gas enter the compressor. When the hydrogen gas entered the compressor, it caused ignition. They had a report of an explosion. That is when 911 was activated.”

VFD units worked with Ergon to put out the flame and isolate the area and Danczyk said it “went about as good as it can go. I am very pleased with the outcome,” and there were no reported injuries.

“The damage pretty just affected some of the piping and some of the valves,” he said.

“It was a very small area affected by the heat and flame contact. Their fire protection system was used and their employees mitigated the scene right after ignition occurred.

“There were no injuries reported to me and we had no injuries from our personnel. We did not transport anybody by ambulance.”
