Marie Martha Romano Strong died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018. She was 84.

Marie was a registered nurse and retired from Mercy Hospital. She was a sweet, kind, loving and compassionate person with family, friends and the patients she nursed. She loved her children and family very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Strong Sr.; her son, Thomas Strong; her daughter, Patricia Andrews and grandson, Chad Andrews.

She is survived by her son, Clayton Allison Strong, Jr. of Amite, La.; daughters, Sondra Trosclair (Dyrk) of Petal, Katherine Nozrat (Behzad) of Diamondhead and Charlene Strong of Pearl; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Glenwood Funeral Home with Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Family and friends are invited to attend a reception at 251 Turnerville Road, Vicksburg, after leaving the graveside.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Cox, Jason King, Derrik Trosclair, Brandon Andrews, Tony Romano and Martin Hogan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Hogan and Michael Patterson.
