Margaret Evelyn Rogers Ming entered her Heavenly Home on Feb. 18, 2018.

She was the daughter of James and Louie Hamm Rogers and born on July 26, 1935, in Louisville. Upon graduating in 1953 from Bond High School, she married Garland Ray Ming and started a family.

Margaret shared her love, grace, compassion and laughs with everyone she met. Her love of God, family and friends was infectious and she made lasting friendships in Brandon and Tylertown, Cantonment, Fla., and Vicksburg.

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. G. Ray Ming; her daughter, Mickey Wiggins; and three brothers, Richard, James and Frank Rogers.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzi White (Mark) and Lori May, both of Vicksburg; two sons, Dickey Ming of Hurley and Wesley Ming (Neely) of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren, Curtis Wiggins (Abby) of Cantonment, Fla., Carla Gilmore (Jacob) of Molino, Fla., T.J. Brocato, Taylor Brocato and Christopher May of Vicksburg, Jessica May of Brandon, Mary Margaret (Molly) Ming and David Garland Ray Ming, both of Vicksburg; four great-grandchildren, Monroe and Sawyer Wiggins and Ella and Sydney Gilmore; as well as her sweet Gertie.

Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at Riles Funeral Home with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by service at 1p.m. Graveside service will be at Murphy Creek Baptist Church in Louisville on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at 11 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Wiggins, Christopher May, T.J. Brocato, Taylor Brocato, Jacob Gilmore, Kevin Ming, Cecil Rogers, Lamar Wiggins and David Garland Ray Ming.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Barbara Rogers, Becky Rogers-Sneed, Bridget Rogers Walker, Gail Matthews, Loretta Young, John Burton, Ruth Sunday School Class, Dr. Sam Pierce, Dr. Lara Clement, Charlotte Miller, Lindsay Theobald and the nursing staff of Vicksburg Convalescent Nursing Home.
