Rodney Woodruff

We are saddened to say Rodney has passed on from our lives on Feb. 28, 2018, but joyful to know he is now at peace in the arms of our Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior and his loving parents, John and Lauwanna Woodruff, better known as Papa John and Mamaw Wanna.
Rodney is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia (Trisha) Woodruff; his five children, Alan Woodruff, Michele Woodruff Harrell, Sterling (Lynzie) Woodruff, Bridget (Donnie) Anderson and Tommy (Tasha) Weeks.
By “Rodney’s” choosing, he was “Big Pop” to all his grandchildren who include Greyson, Audrey Rose, Christopher, Hanna Harrell, Chase Yearwood, Heidi Anderson, Kodie (Allie); great-grandson Elijah Dunn; Sailor Anderson; our newest blessing, Whitney Ro’Lynne Weeks; close as family Paul (Jessica, Selena & Jessie) Jones.
Rodney lived and farmed most of his adult life in the Mississippi Delta and Issaquena County area. His primary residence was Madison.
Rodney retired in 2007 to Pangburn, Ark., to care and enjoy the last days of his mother, Lauwanna Woodruff until her passing, April 4, 2014.
Rodney is also survived by a brother, W C (Mary) Woodruff; his favorite aunt, Boozie (Bill) Glenn; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held following the service at The Elk’s Lodge, 1366 Highway 61 South.
