Garry Rodell Lyons died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at Merit Health Central in Jackson. He was 49.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lee Lyons and mother, Mary Cosey Lyons.

Survivors include his three children, Ebone Brown, Gion Brown and Imani Brown, all of Raleigh, N.C.; stepmother, Maple Lyons of Richmond, Calif.; two brothers, Steve Lyons and Jerry Lyons, both of Vicksburg; six sisters, Ellen (Larry) Mitchell, Cheryl Wade, Diane (Desmond) Roach, Jacqueline Moore, Pennie (Mike) Lyons, all of Vicksburg and Kasi (LaToya) Brown of Atlanta, Ga.; special friend, Shanta Crowder of Jackson; and a host of uncles; aunts; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Word of Faith Christian Center with the Rev. Darryl Phillips Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
