Thomas Leo Engdahl

Thomas Leo “Tom” Engdahl died Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Mississippi Veteran’s Home in Jackson. He was 71.
Mr. Engdahl was born in Westville, New York to the late Robert and Genevieve Parker Engdahl. He was a graduate of Syracuse University and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1973 and retired in 2001 from Waterways Experiment Station as an engineer. Mr. Engdahl was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Vicksburg Lodge 95. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed golfing, softball and bowling.
Mr. Engdahl is survived by his wife, Sherron Brichetto Engdahl; a son, Mark Engdahl of Vicksburg, two daughters: Kelly Peoples (Adam) of Raymond and Leanne Edwards of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren: Olivia Peoples, Allie Peoples, Sadie Peoples and Emma Engdahl; two brothers: Jack Engdahl of Jamestown, New York and Jim Engdahl of Mayville, New York; and a sister, Cindy Hammond of Melbourne, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, at Riles Funeral Home with Bro. John Taylor officiating.
