Annette Blades

Annette Blades, of Vicksburg, went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2018, at home with her family. She was 71.
Born on Jan. 21, 1947, Annette was the daughter of the late Joe C. and Agnes Welch. She lived in Vicksburg and attended Culkin High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Ruth Waltman.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Blades and children, Curtis and wife Cindy, Jennifer and husband Devlin Adams, grandchildren Skylar Blades, Lawren Boolos and Justin Rushing, and brothers Jerry Welch, David Karl Welch and Billy Welch.
Annette and her loving husband, Roger, were married for 50 years and lived their married life in Vicksburg and in Marks for the past 18 years. She was a loving and devoted housewife to Roger and took great joy in her children, grandchildren and brother.
Annette lived with her son’s family prior to her death. She brought much joy, love and happiness to all who knew her. She centered her life around her children and grandchildren. Annette was adored by her family and was the matriarch. She was an avid cook who shared many meals with those around her. She took pleasure in her flower garden and enjoyed being outdoors.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to St. Joseph Hospice, especially Robin Rees.
Pallbearers will be Wilber Blades, Clayton Blades, Rick Moore, Cory McNemar, Casy McNemar and Danny Moss.
Visitation will be held at Glenwood from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018. Services will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Pastor Dwight Sibley will be officiating. Burial will be at Green Lawn Garden Cemetery on Highway 80.
