Elizabeth Stott Richards

Elizabeth Stott Richards died Sunday, May 6, 2018, in Albertville, Ala. She was 83.

Mrs. Richards was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John Robert Richards; her parents, J.C. and Sarah Young Stott; and three siblings.

She is survived by one sister, Winnie Stott Castello; her children, Lynda Gibson, Bruce (Darlene) and Russell (Teresa) Richards; her grandchildren, Tim (Krissie) Gibson, Karen (Steve) Moore, Mollie (Aaron) George, Kyle (Claire) Richards, Laura (Jennifer) Ice, Amy Richards and James Richards; and great-grandchildren, Austin Gibson, Charlie Moore, Avery, Garrett and Sadie George, Neely and Riley Richards and Ethan and Wyatt Ice; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Brumfield, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Yokena Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tim Gibson, Steve Moore, Kyle Richards, Aaron George, James Richards, Austin Gibson, Troy Carruth, and Bubba Daigre.

Honorary Pallbearers are Aubrey (Doc) Castello, Herman Middleton, Dwayne Veneable, Franklin Hicks and the men of Immanuel Baptist Church.
