Joe Gilbert Edwards Sr. passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was 73 years old.

Mr. Edwards was born in Clarksdale and had lived in Vicksburg for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy C. Edwards and Velma Ingram Edwards; three brothers, Cliff Edwards, Jay Edwards and Donnie Edwards.

He was a member of Bovina Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Florrie Edwards; two sons, Joe Edwards (Cindy), and Robert  Edwards; daughter, Christy Jarrett; two brothers, Morris Edwards and Ricky Edwards; two sisters, Betty Dennis and Barbara Kirtfield; four grandchildren, Trey Sessums, Sam Edwards, Destinee Jarrett and Hunter Edwards; two great-grandchildren, Madalynn Sessums and Ledger Sessums.

Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2018, from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at Bovina Baptist Church with the memorial service starting at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Randy Burns officiating.
