Halley Jo Ragsdale

Halley Jo Ragsdale joined the Heavenly Choir late Friday June 8, 2018. She lived her 86 years as a disciple of Jesus and a Child of God.
She grew up in the family of Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church, serving as Sunday school teacher and Choir member.
She was a retired employee of Waterways Experiment Station and was a volunteer at the local hospital.
Halley Jo was a lead performer at Vicksburg Theatre Guild, performing in “Gold In The Hills” for decades. She was also a lead artist in shows such as “South Pacific” as Bloody Mary and played the lead role of Rose in “Gypsy”.
She is survived by three sisters, Martha Benson and Bertha Kolb of Vicksburg and Barbara Stevens of Riverside, California, and her brother Sidney (Buddy) Ragsdale of Vicksburg. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews spread all over the world.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 11, at Riles Funeral Home and a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 12 at Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vicksburg Theatre Guild at PO Box 821472, Vicksburg, MS 39182.
