Philip Andrew “Drew” McClendon

ROLLING FORK — Philip Andrew “Drew” McClendon died June 21, 2018. He was 19.
Drew was born on Nov. 13, 1998, to Robert J. and Beth McClendon. He was a lifelong resident of Rolling Fork. He was a graduate of Sharkey-Issaquena Academy and was currently attending East Mississippi Community College in Starkville. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being on the lake and riding a four-wheeler.
Drew was preceded in death by his uncle, Philip Oxner III and his cousins, Keely Oxner and Brett McClendon.
He is survived by his parents, Robert “Jeff” McClendon and mother, Beth Oxner McClendon of Rolling Fork; his brother, R. J. McClendon of Rolling Fork; paternal grandparents, Joe McClendon and Freddie McClendon of Rolling Fork; maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Margaret McPhail of Rolling Fork and Phil Jr. and Sandra Oxner of Benton; his uncles, Dewey “Peanut” McClendon of Rolling Fork and Joe W. McClendon of Hernando; and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork with the Rev. Britt Williamson and the Rev. Millard Caulder officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brad Craddock, Marlon Nichols, Andy Anderson, Tommy King, Eddie Holcomb, Kelly Perry, Bill Newsome and Todd Heigle.
Honorary pallbearers will be his classmates, Will Holcomb, Chandler Ross, Chandler Dew, Cole Heigle, Josh Brown, Tanner Stuart, Victor Villarreal, Laike Lewis, Lane Gee, Jeremy Hunter, Dylon Weed, Tom Scott, C. J. Williams, Josh Boykin and Jace Boykin.
