Helen Sanders died Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Promise Hospital. She was 85.

A native of Sharkey County, she had lived most of her life in the Vicksburg area. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benton T. and Myrtle Hall; her son, Carl Wooten; her daughters, Linda O’Brien and Evon Trim and her great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Lopez.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Johnny) Beard of Crawford; her son, Jerry (Betty) Wooten of Ferriday, Louisiana; her sister, Willie Grace Hall of Vicksburg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating. Interment will follow in the Yokena Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at 9: a.m. until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Josh Ashley, Cole Ashley, James Wooten, Buddy Wooten, David Case and Cody Hall.
