Thellas Rae Moseley, 81, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. A memorial service will be held at Flowood Baptist Church in Flowood, on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 12 p.m. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, handled arrangements.
Mrs. Moseley was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Richton. She was the daughter of the late Mack and Lydia Meadows. She married William Moseley on Aug. 2, 1952. They made their home in Vicksburg, until June, 2000, when they moved to Brandon. Mrs. Moseley was an active member of Bowmar Avenue Baptist Church in Vicksburg and Flowood Baptist Church in Flowood. Mrs. Moseley started her love of sewing at age 10 and was a seamstress in Vicksburg. In addition to her love of sewing, she enjoyed working with youth at church. She loved woodworking, painting, ceramics and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Griagra (Darlene) Moseley and Jarvis (Lisa) Moseley of Vicksburg, and Rhonda (Mike) Gilbreath of Brandon. She has six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mrs. Moseley has two living brothers, Evans and Wendell Meadows; three living sisters, Evis Jordan, Lanell Jordan and Yvonne Lucas. Mrs. Moseley is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William Moseley; three brothers, Leon, N.J. and Marvin Meadows and two sisters, Maxine Smith and Helen Carey.
In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to the Flowood Baptist Church Building Fund.
