Milton Jones

Funeral services for Milton Jones are to be held on Saturday, July 28 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church a 2 p.m. with Father Malcolm O’Leary officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.  A rosary shall be held on Friday, July 27, in the funeral home from 6-7 p.m.

Milton Jones passed away on Saturday, July 21, in the GV Sonny Montgomery Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 93. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. He had worked as the Valley Department Store and the MAT Sinking Unit. He was a member of the Men’s Club of St. Mary’s Catholic church where he was a member of the choir.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlando Jones and Helen Louise Milligan; and his brother, David Armstrong and sister, Juanita Boy.

He is survived by Jacqueline Christmas of Chicago, Illinois and Emma Maxwell of Vicksburg, and members of the Grant, Maxwell, Trouly, Maxey, Christmas, and Ingram families.
